'Unimagine' CD Package Concept
This packaging concept hailed from the first assignment in my Package Design class at Fitchburg State University, in which we were to design and assemble a functional 3D package for a CD. In wanting to take a different approach to how CDs are regularly enclosed, I experimented with different shapes and methods of interacting with the shapes. After many experimentations, I devised a hexagonal case that also doubled as a lyric book, to bring a new, revealing experience to the listener that they would not normally get. In keeping with the theme of shapes, I developed symbols to represent each song title. In addition to the hexagon case, I designed a box, reminiscent of a typical CD jewel case, to keep and protect the hexagon case.
